Introducing Miss Kate to the DancePro Academy Team

Miss Kate is a dancer who also trained and an aerialist!

Not only does Miss Kate have a little baby she also owns the company ‘dubbel sött‘, a scandinavian confectionery and patisserie brand.

She is one busy lady!

How old were you when you started dancing?

I was 4 years old when I started ballet, and not long after I started tap and modern, since then I have trained in commercial, contemporary, Irish, Bollywood and heels, I haven’t gone a week without dancing since I started!

When did you fall in love with dance?

I don’t remember a time I fell in love with dance, I just can’t seem to stop.

Where did you train?

I trained at Italia Conti arts centre, it was the best years of my life!

What is your favourite style of dance?

My favourite styles are ballet and contemporary.

Tell us all something we don’t know about you?

I had never seen a musical before going to a musical theatre college!

What’s your favourite snack before a class?

Does coffee count as a snack?

Did a specific teacher or person inspire you to have a career in dance?

I had a contemporary teacher when I was 14 who believed that I could have a career in dance, if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have believed I could do it.

Do you have any other hobbies?

I also perform as an aerialist when I’m not dancing which takes up most of my time.
