19th September Bank Holiday

Classes on the 19th have been postponed to the half term week, which is the 24th October NOT the 31st which I first thought. (I don’t know why I am getting so many dates wrong at the moment!!) I hope that you can enjoy the additional Bank Holiday while remembering and paying your respects to Her Majesty.

Charity Bring A Buddy Week

We have ‘Bring A Buddy’ week coming up. This is for ‘Make A Wish foundation’ who help make poorly children’s wishes a reality. This will be another chance for you to wear fancy dress costumes and you can invite friends to have a dance Halloween party. Please donate generously to this wonderful charity.

ALL classes are involved, the week before half term (from the 17th October)

Dickensian Evening

This is on the 2nd December NOT the 1st which I first thought! Times are yet to be confirmed but I would assume between 6pm and 8pm. Musical theatre and Street dance classes have been invited to do a little performance which will be repeated a few times, in collaboration with Hertford Theatres Christmas show, “The Snowsmith”. Do come and support the students in Amwell End.

Lamda Exams

I can now confirm that Lamda exams will be held on the 3rd December. Pop it in your calendar if you are involved, I’ll start working on the timetable and get prices out to you asap.

5th December

Musical theatre students will be showcasing their drama pieces and their dances between 5pm and 6:30pm the main space upstairs in Southern Maltings. Everyone is welcome to come and watch for a small donation to cover the costs of the bigger space. Do come and see their hard work!

Watch Week

Between the 5th December and the 10th December, all classes have ‘watch week’ where parents/grandparents can come and watch their child in class to see what they have learned. It is not a showcase or anything different from what we would normally do in class but it would be a great opportunity for you to see their progress and how they learn. As classes run back-to-back, It would be appreciated that you vacate the room swiftly and help with chairs where needed. Looking forward to you seeing what we get up to!

In The Pipeline

I am just finding a date to do a screening of ‘Reunite’ Hopefully I can confirm this soon. There will be a small charge on the door to cover the cost of hall hire and insurances, but I will keep this to a minimum

This goes the same for a Christmas party this year. Hopefully at the end of the term we can celebrate together.
